브라질에 위치한 상업건물로 원래 구조는 유지하면서 건축을 개조한 프로젝트입니다. 외부 파사드의 활성화를 전제로 하여 접근성을 위해 1층의 내부와 외부 사이에 '투명성'을 부과하였습니다.

해당 상업건물은 특이한 형태를 갖고 있습니다. 도시 내에서 독특하게 삼각형 형태를 띠며 모퉁이 한쪽 측면에는 작은 광장이 존재합니다. 이는 시각적 통합과 사람들의 동선의 흐름을 제안하며 건축의 내부와 직접 연결된다는 특징이 있습니다.

건축의 외부에는 이중 외피가 있습니다. 개발을 위해 맞춤 제작된 독특한 형태로 기술 변화를 수용하고 시간의 흐름 속에서 건축을 견딜 수 있도록 설계되었습니다. 

 

1층은 유리 재질을 사용하여 상업적으로 손님을 끌어들일 수 있도록 디자인되었으며 그 위층으로는 알루미늄 튜브로 브리즈 솔레일로 구성되어 있습니다. 알루미늄 튜브는 이 건물의 시각적 요소로 다양한 치수와 두께로 인해 자연광을 필터링하고 음영을 만들어 줍니다. 또한, 유연한 상업 공간 배치를 통해 업무와 도시 간의 관계를 재구성하며 손님, 동네의 시각적 연결을 확립합니다.

Result of a retrofit in which the original structures of the building were maintained, the project was premised on active facades, thus creating a transparency between interior and exterior on the ground floor, in order to allow multiple possible accesses. The site has a peculiar situation on an urban scale. The lot's morphology is similar to an acute triangle and, when considering the requirements of the legislation, such as the setbacks of the building alignment, there was not enough usable area left for the implantation of the building, or for the construction of a good area in the basement of garages, for example. As a result, in the first conversations with the clients, the hypothesis arose to renovate the existing building on the lot, carried out in the 90s. A fundamental aspect of the context is the presence of the small square next to the corner. It suggests visual integration and pedestrian flows, directly connected with the interior of the store.

On the facades there is a double envelope. An external envelope with a unique character, tailor made for the development, allows it to accommodate technological changes and correctly withstand the passage of time. On the ground floor, the glass showcases establish the desired scale of visibility for projects of this nature, with predominantly commercial use. On the upper floor, the building envelope is constructed with a brise-soleil, in anodized aluminum tubes. This is the main visual identity element of the new store. The varied dimensions of the tubes create thicknesses, reacting to light, filtering and shading the interior work and living spaces.

The adoption of a flexible commercial layout allows the adaptability of uses and commercial activities, in order to reframe the relationship between work and the city, establishing visual links between pedestrians, the neighborhood and the users of the building. It could house a shop, a pastry shop, a restaurant and even an office space, but its key use is related to the day-to-day life of the square, sidewalks and surrounding open spaces.
